Briefly: The first real teaser poster for Marc Webb‘s new The Amazing Spider-Man has arrived, and it is a pretty artsy fartsy. It’s all grey, bleak and shadowy. Nothing vibrant; no SM blue and reds which you might expect.  Good poster. Weird tagline though. Untold story? What untold story? Don’t they mean the retold story? I think most everyone knows the origin of Spider-Man, do you suppose their spinning an original take on an already existing franchise?

Second only to The Avengers, this is my most anticipated of next summer. I really could have cared less when the reboot was first announced, but I’ve been really impressed with everything I’ve seen from the production so far.

The film is being directed by (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb, and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary and is set to be released on July 3rd 2012.

    HEY PERSON WHO WROTE THIS!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??? Seriously, did you completely forget about The Avengers??? That is My #1 followed by TDKR and THEN TAS-M. Yeah these other 2 look absolutely delicious but everything comes second to anything Joss Whedon. just saying.

      Oh cripes!! I actually meant to say Avengers. I had bats on the brain. Speaking of which, I’m looking more forward to SM than TDKR. I’ve been more consistently impressed w/ what I’ve seen from SM
