The central story of the Star Wars saga is Anakin’s fall into darkness and eventually redemption. This mashup of scenes from the cartoon Clone Wars with the incredible speech by Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator illustrate that theme beautifully. In fact, the message of Chaplin’s speech perfectly syncs with the message of dictatorship and democracy in Star Wars. As if Lucas used the Third Reich as inspiration for his evil empire, which, he uh, did. (Nerd Approved)

Orlando-based nerdy burlesque troupe Skill Focus recently performed a show featuring the inmates of Arkham Asylum. This obviously occurs in some alternate Gotham where Penguin is a sexy lady, because normally, I don’t think anyone wants to see Oswald with his clothes off.
