As we reported yesterday, this week’s cover boy for Entertainment Weekly is Christian Bale dressed as Batman from The Dark Knight Rises. Following that up today, EW has released five new photos that are included in the new issue, and they say there are plenty more where that came from if you buy the issue when it hits stands tomorrow. In the meantime, wet your whistle with these, which are pretty straightforward.
Meanwhile, more’s been said about the crippling nightmare that’s enraptured the country: Bane’s voice as revealed in the prologue screening with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Talking to Entertainment Weekly in the same issue, director Christopher Nolan seems to be saying to fans to chill the f**k out. “I think when people see the film, things will come into focus. Bane is very complex and very interesting and when people see the finished film people will be very entertained by him,” said Nolan.
The director’s brother and co-screenwriter Jonathan told CraveOnline that he’s got faith in his brother’s interpretation, because he’s seen more than you and knows better. “I gotta tell you, I think what Tom Hardy’s doing with the role is spectacular. I have the benefit of seeing a little bit more than the audience has seen at this point. It’s pretty spectacular.”
I guess we shall see on July 20th.
