Wait, this is still happening? Variety is reporting that two new writers have be brought on board the long delayed Jetsons live action
mistake movie. Van Robichaux and Evan Susser, best known for their spec script Chewie ( the making of Star Wars from the perspective of wookie thespian Peter Mayhew), have been hired to work on the screenplay. The screenplay to a movie that has been in development hell for over a decade.
So, write away writers! Chances of of it actually being used are slim to none. The last time we had any kind update on the flick was months ago, and it wasn’t very promising. Producer Denise Di Novi told ComingSoon.net this last summer.
“I’ve been developing that for so many years,” she said at the time. “…Part of it is that every couple of years, the genre kind of changes. I really credit Jeff Robinov at Warner Bros. with this. In choosing Chris Nolan to do Batman, he really exploded the expectations on adapting all these kinds of titles, the pressure is on to really make them the coolest movies, not the cornball cartoon movies. Every couple years it’s changed what they thought the movie should be and I’m hoping now we’re hitting it at the right time. I’ve never given up on that movie.”
This dead horse is based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that ripped off the the Hanna-Barbera cartoon The Flinstones that ripped off the The Honeymooners that is currently being ripped off by Family Guy, American Dad…. hell anything Seth McFarlane does.
