The movie industry is an every changing creature, and while films are going through production names will fly from project to project until signatures and obligations are set in stone. So our surprise to you little nerds and nerdettes is an tidbit of confirmed “chisme” (what is known here as gossip) on the upcoming film Lone Ranger, due for release May 31, 2013.
Lone Ranger, still in its developmental stage of film production, has been trying to secure different actors to feature in the film. Armie Hammer, Johnny Depp, and Ruth Wilson are confirmed to star in the film, but news has come in from Deadline that Dwight Yoakam, who was confirmed to play the villain of the film, has dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflict. This has lead to actor William Fichtner, who looks a little like Will Arnett, will be replacing Yoakam as the villain for the Gore Verbinski-directed action western film. Disney execs had this to say of their decision for Fichtner as the villian of Lone Ranger:
“Disney has tapped William Fichtner to replace Dwight Yoakam in The Lone Ranger. He will play the bad guy that Yoakam was set to take on before the actor-singer dropped out Friday because of a scheduling conflict.
Hopefully this will be the last issue to come up for the film, some production problems that plagued the film before it even began was its big budget, and script caused delays along with actor selection and confirmation. Now it seems that the film is clear sailing.
