Taubman Centers, a real estate investment trust in charge of development, management and leasing of different shopping centers around the U.S., has signed on for a year-long exclusive contract with Twentieth Century in an industry first innovation. The Fox Movie Mall virtual storefront will allow the average person who has an Android or iPhone to shop with ease with a simple Stop, Scan and Shop. The Fox Movie Mall App, available on both the Android Market and iTune Store, will allow shoppers to pick a film title on the virtual wallscape, scan a QR code and instantly be taken to their online purchase without the fuss of waiting in line. Those who decide to download and launch the app will get an added bonus of savings. Fox Movie app users can save up to 50% on their purchases along with their access to additional games, trailers, movie and TV clips along with much more.
On March 16,two days from now, Twentieth Century and Taubman Centers will kick off the opening of their stores across the country, which will include home entertainment lounges in central locations with state-of-the-art HDTVs showcasing footage from the upcoming ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: CHIPWRECKED Blu-ray™ along with many other family-friendly films courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Additionally, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: CHIPWRECKED will be fully integrated into the Easter Bunny Set at participating mall locations.
