Someone who works or was recently at The Wolverine‘s director, James Mangold‘s offices is in big trouble. What we have is here is supposedly the first poster for The Wolverine which popped up on the popular photo-sharing service, Instagram. The original post has already been taken down, which isn’t surprising and might actually lend a little credence to this poster being the real deal.
Let’s hope this is the first teaser poster ’cause its fucking awesome! I love everything about it: the claws slashing Japan’s rising sun, the eighties vibe in the design, the type face for “The Wolverine.” It’s all great. What do you think?
As big a pile of disappointing crap Wolverine: Origins was it in no way lessened my excitement for The Wolverine. I’m hoping, as I’m sure many of you are, that The Wolverine will be the Hugh Jackman-Wolverine movie we’ve been yearning for. Come on, the dude is Wolverine as far as I’m concerned. So happily, he’s really all that’s returning for this second take at a Wolverine movie. The Wolverine will be adapting, “Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s 1982 story arc in the Wolverine comics,” which focuses on the time Logan spent in Japan.
Assuming there are no more delays, The Wolverine will release July 26, 2013.
