Ever wonder what famous fictional character shares your birthday? Wonder no more ’cause Flavorwire has made an awesome collection of infographics. Above is August, my birthday month and it turns out I share a birthday with Turtle from Entourage, which is completely and utterly lame and I hate it. Had I been born on my due date I’d share a birthday with Fex from That 70’s Show which would have been waaaaay cooler. I also would have accepted August 1st, the Joker’s birthday or August 9th, Philip J. Fry’s birthday. Who’s your fictional birthday twin?
This trailer for Evil Dead 2 has been rotoscoped and I hope it begins a trend because this is awesome! If you’re unawares, rotoscoping is when you animated over live-action, like the movie A Scanner Darkly. Okay, who want Pretend For Real to rotoscope the whole flick? It could be a special release with the upcoming reboot/sequel.
J. Jonah Jameson or as he’s better known, J.K Simmons assembles the Avengers of insurance sales in the latest commercial from Farmer’s Insurance. Really guys? I’ve seen kids on Halloween with more impressive costumes. Still, I give ’em props for trying. (TDW: Geek)
You know you should always respect your elders, they’re much wiser and they know and understand more than you do. Like the Force. Watch this Jedi grandma teach these two punks a lesson. (The Mary Sue)
It’s the newest music video from Garfunkel and Oates, animated by Deanna Rooney, for their song, “My Apartment’s Very Clean Without You.” If you’ve ever had to suffer through an super messy roommate you’ll appreciate it. And cats are added for maximum effect which is also a plus. (Laughing Squid)
I think it’s safe to say we all love the latest Muppet movie, so much so I really hope they can eventually get a new TV show. In the meantime though, we might have to settle for these Bounty commercials. Check out two more at Bleeding Cool.
Tim Hijlkema, a master of CGI, has created this video with 20 different planets all inspired by different video games. How many can you name? I must admit I was pretty terrible, I couldn’t even guess half, but they’re all so cool looking! (TDW: Geek)
Do remember Hey Arnold!? The Nicktoon about a kid with a football shaped head. DrCoolSex has created a trailer for a Hey Arnold! movie where the kids are all grown up and Helga goes all Fatal Attraction on Arnold. It’s at times hilarious then frightening. And y’know, this really is the only logical outcome for the Helga/Arnold relationship. That girl was nuts! (TDW: Geek)
