Watch as Logan Kugler realizes his dream of sending action figures of Kirk, Picard, and a few other Star Trek crew members to space with a high-altitude balloon. Funded via Kickstarter, the film of their voyage is still being edited but this Discovery Channel clip shows the launch and recovery. (Nerd Approved)
