And the bitch slapping of the NBC comedy line-up continues, with the upcoming season of Community looking to have taken the heaviest of shots once again.

Now that NBC has muscled out show creator Dan Harmon and wiggled in the team of David Guarascio and Moses Port, fans of the series are more then a bit worried. With a majority of the shortened season’s scripts already done, that still leaves areas where things need to be finished or rewritten according to Guarascio and Port. This alone makes people want to shy away from the series when it returns this September, and by September, I now mean October.

That’s right, according to the NBC’s Fall line-up via DeadlineCommunity is still slated for Friday nights, otherwise known as the “Friday night death slot.” Yet to add insult to injury NBC has pushed back the premiere of season 4 until mid-October alongside the sophomore sitcom Whitney. Check out the entire schedule yourself below:

Their allowing new shows like Go On (starring Matthew Perry) and Animal Practice to air special previews during the Summer 2012 Olympics and Joel McHale is being forced to be shown on television after a series starring a bloody monkey? Even the final season of 30 Rock is getting better treatment and it was forced to deal with Kim Kardashian, proving once and for all that the comedic series is dead and it all starts with Community.
