The part of Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, is, if you’ll pardon the pun, a hot one. So much so that noted celebrity Games fan Kristen Bell was looking to be cast in the part, but other actresses like Mia Wasikowska and Jena Malone have been mentioned in relation to the role too. But now Deadline is reporting that model/actress Zoe Aggeliki is first in line for the role.
If Aggeliki is cast, she will be the second new cast member cast by director Francis Lawrence for the film, which includes returning actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Donald Sutherland, and new castmate Philip Seymour Hoffman as new Hunger Games Master, Plutarch Heavensbee. Johanna, the character in question, is one of a number of previous Hunger Games winners who are drafted back to the arena for the Games’ 75th annual event in Catching Fire.
If you’re struggling to place the name “Zoe Aggeliki” don’t feel bad, she only has a couple of credits to her name: next year’s supernatural cop drama R.I.P.D. and the fantasy sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
