Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

Above: Watch out when Black Widows got her guns drawn. And I mean her actual guns, not the good she’s unzipped. Though they do serve as an excellent distraction. Cosplayed by Giorgiacosplay. Photographed by Daniele Faccioli. (Fashionably Geek)

This is a wedding bouquet crafted out of River Song’s sonic screwdriver with flowers made from pages of Sherlock Holmes. BRILLIANT! Amazing creations like this make me reconsider my, “Weddings sound awful and tedious to plan,” stance. (Nerd Approved)

I don’t understand. Whenever I see a marvelous Wonder Woman cosplay, like this one by Valerie Perez, it reminds me they chose that god awful outfit for the Amazon on the live action TV series. Which then sucked, so it never happened anyway! UGH! Why can’t they bring Wonder Woman to either film or TV, and do it right? (Fashionably Geek)

Hot Toys can really make some, uh, hot toys. Just look at the likeness here of Chris Evans. Swoon.  See more of this excellent Captain America figure over at Geek Tyrant.

Never fear those nightmares again when you’ve got a night light with the Dark Knight on call. Pick up one for yourself, or y’know, whomever you know who fears the dark, over at Think Geek. (Laughing Squid)

Animated by David Stodolny, the same genius who brought us Hulk…In the Bathroom, these hilarious Harry Potter shorts are sure to brighten your day. Let’s just say, imagine a world where spells do exactly what you tell them to. (Geek Tyrant)

How did I not know Bill Nye was still making awesome science videos, only this time, on Youtube!?! Learn how we discover really, really, really, far away planets above and then check out more videos from Bill Nye on Planetary Society. (The Mary Sue)

Aw yeah, these droids be dubsteppin’, bro! (TDW: Geek)

Chandler Riggs and Wil Wheaton star in this critically aclaimed drama, Where’s Carl. Watch and be amazed! (The Mary Sue)
