Say what you will about Jessica Biel’s acting ability (and I know some of you do), but she’s a damn fine looking lady that brings beauty and sex appeal to whatever project she may be in. Except The Wolverine.
It was reported just before Comic Con that Biel was in talks with producers to join James Mangold‘s sequel to the solo adventure of everyone’s favorite mutant Cancuck, played by Hugh Jackman. At the time, Biel told HitFix that her casting in The Wolverine wasn’t a done deal, and now Collider is reporting that it never will be as talks have broke down between the studio and Biel’s people. So much for that.
Oh well, at least we have the Jessica Biel-Kate Beckinsale catfight in Total Recall to look forward to next month.
Production on The Wolverine is expected to get underway next month in Australia and Japan. Jackman returns and will be joined in the prequel-sequel by Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, and Rila Fukushima. Rumor has it that the film is based on the 80s Wolverine miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller.
