Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com

Geeky wedding alert! Katie and Kellan met at Dragon*Con, specifically over the much beloved show Firefly. When these two we,  the groomsmen wore Jayne hats and the bridesmaids had replicas of Kaylee’s parasol. The couple also worked in references to Star Wars, Superman, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe, and comic books. [Fashionably Geek]

ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD! For 39.95 you can buy your own Hypnotoad Vinyl Figure from Futurama. The eyes really pulsate with changing colors. [GeeksofDoom]

If an old fart shakes a fist at you for playing too many video games, just refer to this factoid sheet on Video Games and Their Advantages. That ought to shut em’ up. [Bitsandpieces]

Wanna display your nerdery on your feets? Who doesn’t? Then you ought to buy some hand painted Chucks from WHAT’s SHOP . The accessory shop located in Bankok, Thailand offers pairs inspired by Pokemon, Batman, Star Wars, Gremlins, Dexter’s Laboratory, and even Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker.[albotas]

Han Solo frozen in carbonite guitar, built for Evanescence co-founder Ben Moody. [NerdApproved]

Was Tom Waits the inspiration for Heath Ledgers Joker? Who the hell is Tom Waits? Yeah, I never heard of him either, but apparently he was a respectable actor/musician from the 70’s. Our friends from Newsarama dug up a YouTube clip featuring an interview with Waits. The mannerisms and speech patterns are identical to Ledgers portrayal. [Newsarama]

A Justin Bieber Boyfriend parody by Teddie Films! C3-Bieb-O wants to be the only droid you want. [GAS]

“Batman: Dark Knightfall” is a Batman fan made stop-motion animation directed by Derek Kwok and Henri Wong of Parabucks co. using Batman toys. Truly, a valiant effort in stop-motion. [parabucks]

A Fistful of Rupees is apparently an upcoming three-part web series depicting The Legend of Zelda done as a spaghetti western. It’s pretty well done, but but now I want a big budget version staring Kevin Costner. [Kotaku]
