It’s a stretch to call this a new trailer for The Hobbit, but technically, it is new, and it does in fact contain some new footage. So, let’s roll it.
The ever diligent TheOneRing.net has compiled a list of the new footage, but basically it’s these three moments: Bilbo’s reaction to Gandalf’s arrival (0:23), Bilbo hiding behind a tree in Mirkwood (1:57), and Gandalf, the dwarves, and Bilbo running through a forest (1:59).
I do love me some trailers, and I could do with many, MANY more Hobbit trailers. Surely we’ll be seeing more soon.
But, I’ve been wondering, with the decision to break this story into three parts instead of two, do you think there were any significant changes made to the first film? You’d have to figure altering the story structure would have an impact on how you’ve edited the first part, right?
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey release December 14th, 2012.
