The Red Dawn remake is finally making it’s way to the big screen. Mostly because Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, Journey to the Center of the Earth), and others of the Red Dawn cast are much bigger stars than they were when this production started, or was completed the first time.

The original release date was November 24, 2010. The then, and pretty much now, cash strapped and struggling MGM put the film in hiatus to change the bad guys. The original villains in this movie were the Chinese, then producers decided that perhaps they didn’t want to piss off a market with 1,344,130,000 potential movie goers and changed the Chinese bad guys to the ever popular North Koreans. This was all done at a huge cost after shooting for the film had wrapped and some wondered if the movie would ever be completed and released.

Cut to two years later and suddenly that cast looks a lot bigger and more popular than ever and what was a money losing production looks to make a ton of money. This November 21st the movie will hit theater screens across the U.S. of A.

If one had to make a list of the day dream “What If Scenarios” that Nerds think and argue about “What They Would Do” over coffee or in Internet chat rooms:

Zombie Apocalypse

Alien Invasion

Red Dawn type Attack

Sent Into Past Accidentally

Giant Monster Attack

You can put them in any order you want, although the Zombie Apocalypse seems to rule supreme at the moment. What do you think? Will this movie draw the fan support that the original version did?
