Each and every week we scour the Internet for nothing but the best in nerd based art. We leave no digital stone unturned, we poke and prod every net based nook and cranny. Why? Because we love you, and we love to bring you weekly Nerd Art Dumps.
So this is Joss Whedon‘s plan all along, using Marvel and it’s billions of dollars just to wiggle Firefly back into the public eye. Don’t get us wrong it’s a “marvel”ous plan, but there’s easier ways to get make another billion dollars Joss. [The Mary Sue]
Hit the jump for Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, 80’s Star Wars and MOAR!
Yeah, they look nice, but you’ll be waking up with more then pie to the face and dirt in your shoes if your thinking of hanging out with these lovely ladies. Aptly titled “Double Trouble” by Babs showing off Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn’s finer assets well worth anyone’s attention, as long as they don’t mind having to go to Arkham Asylum to get it. [Geek Tyrant]
At last! Disney‘s Cars characters explained with biology by Jake Parker. Splitting the stars of the disney franchise in half Jake shows us exactly what makes these vehicles tick, mixing engine parts with human features like a brain and poop shoot. Science is ungodly – and awesome! [Geek Tyrant]
Breaking Bad has had itself quite the run in it’s last four seasons and with the final season under way why not celebrate it’s success with a sweet poster by Ken Taylor. A mix of characters come and gone (and blown apart) the AMC series made making drugs look cool and you can own this. The drawing we mean. Limited to a mere 300 you’ll have to act fast over at www.itsoverweresafe.com to guarantee your own piece of Heisenberg. [Geek Tyrant]
No, someone didn’t color in Marty McFly wrong, this is part of a sweet 80’s redesign of Star Wars‘ Luke and Leia Skywalker by DenisM79. And this isn’t a one-off piece either, Denis has done redesigns on almost the entire cast from Darth Vader and his Stormtrooper lackeys to even human versions of C3P0 and R2-D2. [Deviant Art]
Ready to have your mind blown? On one side you have a Star Wars picture, flip it over (don’t flip your computer, that is bad for it) and you get a Dalek and TARDIS in a pretty sweet Doctor Who picture. Created by Fernando Reza this can be displayed as either the UK side (Doctor Who) or the US side (Star Wars), but no matter what side you use it will always look awesome in your home. [Fro Design Co]
If you followed a ten year old kid for sixteen years trying to become a Pokemon master and he still hasn’t gotten the job done you’d get pretty depressed too. After so many years of failure Pikachu just lost it, becoming a emo hipster to cope with Ash’s constant side quests and the amount of merchandise not bearing his face. Dyed hair, tight jeans, the need to listen to Deathcab for Cutie, at least he didn’t end up like Squirtle with an addiction to bath salts. [Game Tyrant]
I personally never got into the whole My Little Pony craze that was sweeping the nation, but if they had made it more like what Oskar Vega and made them a bunch of super powered people I may have been more interested. Giving each pony a Sailor Moon style transformation while keeping the personality of each character in their human forn is pretty cool. Take a look at the rest over at Oskar’s Deviant Art page. Player 2 has entered the game. Everyone loved the ending to Shaun of the Dead, especially Jeff Victor, so as part of his 30 day challenge Jeff included his own take on the comedic ending. Two best friends still messing about even if one is rotting into the sofa, now that’s friendship. [Wicked Crispy]
