Well, it is a good time to buy stock in Excedrin®. LucasFilm has confirmed that both Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith will (re)hit the big screen in nausea brain pain inducing 3D with Clones arriving September 20th, 2013 and Sith soon after on October 11th of the same year. Announced at Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, FL and shortly after confirmed on the franchises official Facebook page, this will bode well for anyone that is waiting for the a re-release of the original trilogy.
Now, before all the anti-Lucas rage comments (or after, since most of them will be on our Facebook page by people who only read the headline), let’s be honest with ourselves. This is Star Wars. We will see it. Sure maybe the prequels will be skippable, but if/when A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi make their big screen return… are they not worth the headache? Yes I know it will be the latest iteration of tampering, but this time you will get to scream out that Han shot first in 3D!
That has to count for something.
