The second trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hit the net today and well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been watching it and re-watching it all morning. I seriously can’t get enough and will likely go home and watch all three Lord of the Rings films just to ease my yearning for hobbits and wizards and adventure.
Guys, did you see Radagast (Sylvestor McCoy) and that cute little hedgehog!? Did you see Galadriel (Cate Blanchet) being all beautiful and Gandalf (Ian McKellen) being all wise and wizardly!? GAH! And Martin Freeman as Bilbo! I don’t think there’s ever been better casting.
I’m just a little excited, if you couldn’t tell. And to add to mine and your excitement, Warner Bros. has released this little, sharing app thingy that allows you to pick an ending to the trailer from five available scenes then send it off to a friend. That sounds neat and all but wouldn’t you rather just see the alternate endings? Bleeding Cool agrees which is why they’ve compiled the four alternative endings into one clip where you can watch ’em back to back.
The dwarves are winning me over the more I see from them and I believe they, Gandalf, and Bilbo may even be a more entertaining group to follow on an adventure than The Fellowship. Plus, Gollum, how can you not be excited for more Gollum? Especially schizo-Gollum. “Wasn’t talking to you!”
If you missed it earlier here’s the full second trailer, now in HD!
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey releases nationwide December 14th.
