Del Toro Gives Update on Non-Progress of “Hulk’ TV Series

The Hulk is in the works to make his way back to television, albeit this time in a more technologically advanced manner.  Since he doesn’t look to be getting another movie anytime soon, the big green brute certainly deserves it.  Set to direct the pilot is none other than Guillermo del Toro.  The progress of the project is, however, lagging just a bit.

The man himself, in an interview with ShockTillYouDrop, talked a bit about what the hold-up is:

Right now all I know is the official word I was given is that there’s a writer they want. They are very interested in me meeting with him. He’s very, very busy. The official word is we are holding, but I don’t know… After ‘Avengers’ having the success it had, perhaps the fate of the project may change. Right now officially what I know – and I’m not hiding anything off the record or anything – is that we were told we were waiting for this writer, and we were going to do it with him.

Waiting for the writer… lovely.  Better get on it boys, cause del Toro isn’t exactly sitting on his ass right now.  With plenty of projects on his table, if they wait too long they may end up exchanging the writer for the director.  But at least we know that the series is still on someone’s mind and that we may see it sometime in the future.
