As you may or may not know, the Elf warrior Legolas (played by Orlando Bloom in the Lord of the Rings films) does not appear in The Hobbit. However, director Peter Jackson did a bit of a re-write of the classic J. R. R. Tolkien book to wedged the character into the story for his upcoming Hobbit trilogy. Still, fans have wondered just how Legolas will make his appearance in the films, and when, but now it seems that LEGO of all things may have spoiled the moment.

So the scene you see depicted above is when Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and the troupe of dwarfs enter the Forest of Mirkwood where they encounter some monstrous spiders. Now in the novel, Bilbo and the boys manage to wiggle free on their own, but it seems that in the movie there is some kind of intervention by Legolas and new character Tauriel (played by Evangeline Lilly). The timing would be apropos considering Mirkwood is Legolas home, so it would make sense that we first meet him there.
So is this a LEGO spoiler? I guess we’ll find out this December when The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters.
