Yes folks, G.I. Joe: Retaliation is still coming soon to a theater near you, albeit not as soon as it was supposed to.  There have been delays in the film (but apparently not in the release of the toys made from the film) and the final body count has moved the flick from a summer of this year release to March of 2013.  Why did it take so bloody long?  Increased 3D effects is the answer to that question.

So, without further delay, here is the new trailer for the movie, no doubt put together so that people don’t forget about the film entirely:

I especially enjoyed how they used “coming soon” as opposed to putting forth any definite release date.  A sign of confidence in more delays, perhaps?

Barring further 3D problems, you should be able to watch G.I. Joe: Retaliation come March 29 of next year.

Thanks to Hollywood Reporter for the news.

Good movie, I still hate the Rock

  • The movie may still exist, but my interest completely died when they decided to release it in… March??? Who launches a movie in march and expect profits? As if John Carter worked so well, apparently… and Battleship was such a huge tanker (another Hasbro property) that the company claimed they wanted to work on a better 3-D version… yeah right… and monkeys must fly out of my butt. Screw that. They know Hasbro’s movies, besides Transformers, don’t sell as well because there’s basically nothing to extract from them… sure the first G.I. Joe was a potent success, but in my opinion, it s-u-c-k-e-d. Big time… and I don’t expect the sequel to fare much better. So that was my daily rant.
