I know it’s Christmastime and everything, but if you happened to have some extra cash to your name this holiday season, or maybe you’re looking to launder some of that dirty mob money that’s piling up since your fence went to jail, well if you’re a fan of Captain America, there’s a unique, one of a kind chance that you’ll want to put some of the coin towards. And, as a bonus, you get to help charity at the same time.
CharityBuzz, as a benefit for Toluca Baseball, is auctioning off a walk-on appearance for one lucky bidder and a friend in the upcoming superhero sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Naturally, there are string attached. Read the description of the prize below:
This walk-on role is a nonspeaking role and can be redeemed between April 2 and June 30, 2013. The award is valid for two people. Both participants must be 18 or older. Availability is based on production schedule. A meet and greet will be arranged with the actors that are filming during your set visit day. Cannot guarantee meet and greet with any specific actors. It is possible filming may take the full day so please plan accordingly. We cannot guarantee the scene in which you participate or your performance in that scene will make the final editor’s cut. While on the set, please follow any rules or guidelines communicated to you by the production staff. Airfare, transportation and accommodations not included. Cannot be returned or exchanged. Cannot be resold or re-auctioned. To be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date. Winning bidder and guest(s) subject to security screening. We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz. Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.
So yeah, you might be going on set thinking you’re going to meet Chris Evans, and you end up meeting the guy playing S.H.I.E.L.D. agent #3. Heck, you’d think you might at least be guaranteed a meet with Evans’ stunt double for the amount of money you might be putting down. And you’re walk-on isn’t even guaranteed to make the final cut?! What’s up with that?
But what really kills is that no one’s springing for airfare, transportation, or accommodations! So you give this charity perhaps thousands of dollars, you’ve got to pay to get to the set, pay to stay in the area, you don’t get the chance to meet the star of your choice, and they may even cut your scene?! Enter at your own risk, Bastards.
