The first full length trailer for Zack Snyder‘s Man Of Steel has hit the Internet and I have to say that it may have rekindled the ashes of my desire to see the movie. Listening to Kevin Costner‘s voice as he (Jonathan Kent) tries to raise his adopted son to become the man . . . no, the HERO, the world deserves sent chills down my back.

We only get a couple of glimpses at what may turn out to be the villain of the piece and a few glances at Superman using his powers, but the over all feeling I get from this trailer is one of hope. Hope that Snyder may have gotten it right. Hope that Henry Cavill can take a place beside Christopher Reeves and others who have successfully taken on the mantle of Superman.

  • I am so hoping only the trailer is using this vomit inducing shaky camera crap. It is bad enough they opted out of using John William’s theme but to make the film completely unwatchable for a big segment of the population would be too much. When will Hollywood get it through their thick skulls that we hate this type of filming? Buy a freaking tripod guys! This doesn’t make it seem more ‘real.’ My head doesn’t jerk around all uneasy like this camera work. Give it a rest.

It looks better than I’d feared it would. Is it just me, or does that seem to be the normal reaction going into more and more Superhero movies lately? ASSUME it’s going to be crap, so when it’s mediocre or fairly decent, you trick yourself into thinking it’s GOOD?
