Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

ABOVE: Alexia-Jean-Grey cosplaying as Black Widow. What a kick-ass cosplay, huh? Scarlett Johansson’s Widow from The Avengers looks like crap in comparison. Regardless, I’d let both Alexia and Scarlett interrogate me anytime.   [CBM]

Oh, Shiny! Firefly necklaces and lockets for sale. They’re gorgeous, but I couldn’t wear it. A) I’m not a chick, I don’t wear bling and B) It would be a constant reminder  at how the show is leaf on the wind.  [FashionablyGeek]

No hat, no stick, no pipe, not even a pocket handkerchief. How can one survive? With this comfy The Hobbit comfy throw. Enjoy the comfy, warm feeling of being completely surrounded in a throw, but having the freedom to still use your hands. [7 Gadgets]

Consider Chewy the inventor of the “furry fresh” look. This reversible choco-covered chewy coat couldn’t be better for the winter. When the fur gets a little too loud for taste, flip it for an equally fresh, warm holiday hoodie. [Geek Alerts]

This is the business card holder you’ve been looking for! [ThinkGeek]

Ebay Sellers Popsfartberger makes pretty fantastic action figures. Figures you always wanted and some you never new you wanted. His collection of neglected movie heroes and anti-heroes include Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lethal Weapon, Bloodsport, Lethal Weapon and MORE! Finally, my fan fiction wishes of having a play date with Travis Brickle from Taxi Driver and Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon can come true. [Nerdcore]

Mario Warfare – Part 1. Basically it’s like the movie Equilibrium, but with Toad as the gun toting killing machine. First episode and already better then the first Mario Bros movie.  [GAS]

Decay, a film being made by Luke Thompson and Clara Nellist, both Ph.D. students in physics. They filmed it at CERN, which you may know is home to the Large Hadron Collider, and it the plot involves the Higgs Boson particle turning people into zombies. If that doesn’t sell you, I don’t know what will. [io9]

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, now we can see what would have happened to Game of Thrones if it had found a home on The CW.  [blastr]
