AMC is taking the Superbowl plunge this year for one of it’s hit shows, Robert Kirkman‘s The Walking Dead. At a price tag of $4 million for 30 seconds it’s got to be the most expensive 30 seconds of Zombie madness in history. The content of the 30 second spot is being heavily guarded at this time, but show favorite Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, isn’t one to follow the rules.
Reedus posted the three pictures below to his Instagram account “Bigbaldhead.” The second half of the show’s third season returns to television on February 10, but perhaps these 30 seconds can scratch that Zombie itch for fans.
My only question is this, could that $4 million have been better spent on special effects and more zombie kills? What do you think? The show is already a huge success and hardly needs this over the top advertisements as much as I am looking forward to seeing it.
