There’s new production stills from director Thor Freudenthal‘s Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters on the Internet. There’s not been a lot of news about the sequel lately, eight out of ten people would most likely be surprised that a sequel was even being made. The trilogy was already planned though before the first movie even started production.
We should see the first trailer some time next week, it’s scheduled to run before screenings of The Host. Written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the continuing story stars Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith, Mary Birdsong, Yvette Nicole Brown, Missi Pyle, Sean Bean, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Robert Maillet and Zoe Aggeliki.
This time around we find Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, continuing his “epic journey to fulfill his destiny,” and simply stay alive, as he teams up with his demigod friends to retrieve the Golden Fleece, the only thing that has the power to save the heroes home and training ground, Camp Half-Blood.
I’ll be checking it out if only to see Sean Bean (Zeus) in a role in which he cannot die at the end and Nathan Fillion as Hermes.
You can check out some of the action in the production stills below:
