When it comes to all these Marvel phases and movies and such, people really love to chat and throw out hints and spoilers whenever they can.  Hey, it’s all a part of the marketing and, to be quite honest, they’re probably sick of how much they get bugged with questions about what’s going on.  In the latest round-up of random quotes, we hear a bit about some “game-changer” in Iron Man 3 as well as a tease for very distant Avengers 2.  Check it out after the jump.

First and foremost, Robert Downey, Jr. was apparently concerned about a scene in Iron Man 3 that could be bordering on messing with something integral to the Marvel universe.  While we don’t know exactly what he’s talking about (yet!), we do have some words that spilled from his mouth:

What does this mean if we wind up doing an Avengers 2? Kevin looked at me and said, ‘That’s Joss’ problem to solve.’ I was like, ‘Good man.’

And here’s Shane Black’s vague explanation of it:

I thought we needed to do something in the third movie to make it feel like a game-changer.

Sounds intriguing… let’s hope that is a good sort of intriguing though, and not a “WTF?!” moment that will have us throwing rocks at Black’s house for the next two years.

In the next segment, we present a little sort-of update on the possibility of two fan favorites making their way into the Avengers 2.  I speak, of course, of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.

According to Entertainment Weekly:

A source confirms to EW that the twin characters Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be joining The Avengers 2, which Whedon hinted at recently when he said he was writing a brother-sister duo into the movie. Feige maintains a poker face on that scoop, saying only: “I’m not confirming or denying. The draft could change six months from now.”

And finally, a little bit of eye candy for you to enjoy.  Here’s a bright and shiny new magazine cover for Entertainment Weekly featuring Stark and Potts, partially clothed in armor.

That’s all we got for now, but tune in next week when we have something hopefully more solid to report.  Until then, go see Iron Man 3 in a few days.  Avengers 2, however, you’ll have to wait a few years for, though we’ll certainly keep you updated on everything that happens on that front.

Thanks to collider for the heads-up.
