While y’all are out enjoying Mothers Day and what not, you might want to take a moment and check out the following Agents of SHIELD news. That’s the first official cast photo above, and below a few second tease, but damn, it’s a good few seconds.
As you can see in the tease, Agent Coulson LIVES! I’m excited to see him back, but I kinda of hate that he’s alive. Can’t he just stay dead? It was heartbreaking when he bite the bullet in The Avengers. Now I just feel cheated. We’ll have to see how it all works out.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. full trailer will air this weekend, Sunday, May 12, at 8 p.m. before of the season finale of Once Upon a Time. The show exec produced by Joss Whedon (who also directed the pilot) will air on the Disney-owned network, and extend part of the story of The Avengers into a more everyday thriller territory on television. Here’s the official description:
Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.
I’m glad to see ABC is giving our little band of Marvel heroes a shot. I just hope they don’t cancel it. Which, I fear they will. Does this show really belong on the same channel as Grey’s Anatomy, Revenge and Once Upon a Time?
