Nerdy Bits: Lady Deadpool, Vintage Luke & Han, The Only Reason to Use Bing, Avengers Math, Mordor State of Mind and MOAR!!!
Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at email@example.com.
ABOVE: Jessica Nigri is a Deadpool you wouldn’t want to mess with…. or maybe you would. I just really want those boots!
I don’t have a TARDIS cosplay for people this week, but you can at least get your food to cosplay as a TARDIS and other Doctor Who characters, including the Doctors themselves with these cookie cutters from WarpZone. They, unfortunately, take 3 to 4 weeks to ship, so you wouldn’t be able to make cookies in time to discover The Name of the Doctor.
I’m just squeeing like crazy here. Even though the word “marriage” gives me hives, I’d highly consider saying yes if someone popped the question using this Wall-E ring box. [Geekologie]
We often post pictures of nerdy cakes, but this one…. uh, takes the cake. The four sides of the cake are Donkey Kong, Frogger, Tetris and Pac Man, while the top is Pong. You can view more images from the cake at Technabob.
Last night, GeekTyrant posted this wicked cool photo of Harrison Ford (being all suave and cool) and Mark Hamill (lookin’ nerdy) reading the script for The Empire Strikes Back.
This male Codex cosplay is so dorky, I’m in love with it. Apparently, so is Felicia. [Fashionably Geek]
Bloody hell, I don’t use Bing. No one uses Bing, except those people in the Bing commercials. But now nerds everywhere might be forced to use the search engine because it has one thing Google doesn’t – a Klingon translator. [GeekSugar]
These pop culture math equations are too ingenious for words. Above are Polish artist Matt Cowan‘s Avengers’ Maths. LaughingSquid has more sets, including “Doctors Maths” and “Star Wars Baddies Maths.”
Watch this fan made shot by shot recreation of the Catching Fire trailer side by side with the original studio trailer. Which one do you prefer? How can you not prefer the recreation? The beards! Haymitch! The beards! Peeta’s hair! The beards! [Laughing Squid]
Smeagol sings Mordor State of Mind…. I don’t know whether to laugh or be highly disturbed. I’m going to go with highly disturbed. [YouBentMyWookie]
WAIT! One more thing!
