He can see in the dark, but only in shades of brown and beige.

After a hard fought five years and two years since production was stopped and the cast and crew were kicked out of the studio, the fruits of their labors can be shared! Yes, the third (final? ha! doubt it) Riddick movie now has a full sepia toned mumbly trailer filled with every sci-fi action movie trope known to man.

Seriously, for a film that had a tonne of trouble making it to the big screen (like, the BIG big screen since it’s getting an IMAX release since apparently that is no longer a big deal anymore,) fan or not you have to be curious on how it turned out. Short answer? Looks like its a Riddick movie, but with Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) so that’s a bonus!

Check out the trailer plus some new pics straight from Vin Diesel‘s Facebook after the jump.

I’ll say this, it definitely looks bigger than the previous two movies, with more action to boot. Plus, there are bad guys and aliens and pew pew sounds and explosions. I sure hope this doesn’t pull too much attention away from what we really want though, character development.

The three following photo’s are posted with Vin’s comments intact because… wow… Vin Diesel.

Too focused on the captive, the bounty… Haha… And when they realize what is out there in the dark… it’s too late.
