When it was first announced, there wasn’t much known about Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. other than it would center on the Hulk and his fellow gamma-powered heroes. Now, as the first promo is released from Marvel, details on the animated series are smashing their way through, courtesy of Hulk star Fred Tatasciore.
Written by Paul Dini and Henry Gilroy, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. will center on the big green guy and his team as they take on challenges requiring their special set of skills. The show has also been confirmed by Tatasciore to have a reality TV show setting, with the Hulk speaking outside his range of shouting and limited speech. It sounds strange and, for some of the older Marvel fans like myself, it sounds wrong, but it’s a kids show and shows like this eventually get made. Until more footage is released, take a look at the first scenes of the series and judge for yourself whether we’re any closer to getting a Hulk solo show in the near future.
“In Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Hulk has long fought alone to protect a world that sees him as a monster, but his friend Rick Jones has taken it upon himself to film the world-saving exploits of Big Green and his team to change that image. In this never before seen team up of Hulk, his cousin She-Hulk, A-Bomb, Red Hulk and Skaar, Marvel’s mightiest super heroes form an eccentric family living under one roof, working together to tackle threats that are too enormous for other heroes to handle. From trying to house break their giant red pet T-Rex to stopping Ego the Living Planet from crashing into the Earth, the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. must learn to balance Hulk-sized action with everyday family-sized problems.”
Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. is expected to air August 11th, 2013.
