This time around, he gives a brief opinion on Star Wars Episode VII and J.J. Abrams as well as gracing the students of his former university with a commencement speech. When asked about Star Wars in a recent interview, Joss had this to say:
There was a moment of rue that I was already committed.
I’m not going to lie, because who didn’t want to do that as a kid? But I think they got the right guy so just knowing that I’m going to enjoy the film when it comes out is great. I don’t even have to do any work. Can J.J. also make Avengers…?
Well, it looks like he’s okay with Abrams being on board, though it certainly would have been interesting to see what he could have done with the property and whether his style would have worked.
