Earlier today I reported a roundup of quotes from Hugh Jackman about his two upcoming films in where he’s reprising his most iconic mutant, Wolverine. Only hours later there are more details emerging about the second of those films, X-Men: Days of Future Past. If you’ve been following along you’ll remember last week director Bryan Singer caused a mini-internet-implosion when he tweeted he’d cast Evan Peters as Quicksilver. This is, of course, after Avengers 2 writer/director Joss Whedon had already made it known he was including Quicksilver and twin, Scarlet Witch, in his Marvel movie. It’s been a bit of a shitstorm, is what I’m getting at.

Today’s news, though, has nothing to do with Quicksilver, but rather with who the hell Peter Dinklage is playing. He’s been cast in DOFP in an as of yet unknown role, which is itself suspicious knowing how open Singer’s been with sharing casting news and set reports. Well, if we make some extrapolations from his latest tweeting we might just know who Dinklage is playing. First, exhibit one, Dinklage’s stash. More than a few people made the jump to Boliver Trask, inventor of the Sentinels – who we already know are appearing – when that image hit. And now? Consider it basically, practically, almost confirmed because Singer just tweeted this,

Boom, there it is! Trask Industries will be included, and I can’t see any reason why Mr. Trask would not. What d’ya think? Is Dinklage definitely playing Boliver Trask?

Hit the jump for more DOFP revelations!

Ever since we learned that the next X-Men movie would include time travel with characters and sequences from the First Class-verse as well as the original X-Men franchise, the one question we’ve had is: Who’s it going to be traveling back in time? In an interview from the latest Empire magazine (via CBM), James McAvoy may have just spilled those beans,

Hugh’s got a big part. You throw Hugh Jackman in there and he comes with so much rage. I’m really looking forward to working with him. He’d better [frick]ing bring it. I’m excited to work with McKellen too.

Hmm, a big part you say? Could Wolverine be the one who travels back in time to warn the X-Men of the past about the future’s fate? It’s a very strong possibility. Then again, Wolverine can be in the 70s because unlike the other future X-Men, he was in the 70s. We saw him cameo in First Class so it wouldn’t be impossible for Xavier to have wrangled him into to working for him by this the time this flick happens. What do you think Wolverine’s role will be in DOFP?

We’ve got some time before DOFP releases, over a year in fact, so come one, start speculating!

I’m excited about the 70s
