Wait, what? More Justice League news, really? Well, maybe, maybe not. As anyone who has been following the potential development of a JL movie knows, this thing had become like some sort of nightmare breeding of Titanic and Groundhog Day. It seems like not a week goes by where we don’t see it rise from the waters only to sink once again. But in order to uphold tradition, we here at Nerd Bastards shall report on the latest developments regardless. This week in JL rumor – we may have someone working on yet another script.
David S. Goyer, perhaps best known for having a hand in almost everything DC-related in recent years, has been asked to get to work on a viable Justice League script. It was, according to reports, part of his Man of Steel contract that he would write not only a sequel to that film, but also JL.
You can have a look at Goyer’s own words, which you can take however you want to:
They’ve got a little kryptonite pellet embedded in my heart and if I say anything it will explode, but I would be a very rich man for all the times I was asked that question. It all depends on how the [Man of Steel] does. I would love to see a Justice League film, absolutely. Put the Avengers on notice.
Personally, I’d love to see him continue his role as the go-to guy for DC properties. He’s been doing a decent enough job of it so far, so they might as well stick to a good thing. Let’s just hope that this time, the script sticks and I don’t have to report this story again in three months.
Thanks to /film for the heads-up.
