The fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise is creeping up on us and some fans of the originals are getting a bit worried that the newest may not live up to the spirit of what came before. Leaked early script details made the situation even worse, laying out some truly ridiculous ideas. Well, never fear folks, for according to Jurassic Park IV director, Colin Trevorrow, they’re aiming at nothing less than a high-quality production that stays true to the previous three.
In a recent interview with Trevorrow, he gave his assurance that the extra time they’ve taken to create the new dinosaur flick will pay off:
“We don’t want to create a new scoop here [laughs], but we really want to honor what came before us. We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time in conversations. It’s not about us, it’s not about our careers, it’s – how do we make something that can stand [against the first ‘JurassicPark’]?”
So, anyone out there actually think this thing will even be as good as Jurassic Park III?
Thanks to screenrant for the heads-up.
