If you’re a fan of actor/director/car enthusiast Vin Diesel on Facebook you might have noticed something recently. That something being the first TV spot for the forthcoming Riddick threequel aptly titled Riddick. Yes everyone’s favorite muscle-shirted see’n in the dark anti-hero is back to punch space things in the face all over again in this third (and seemingly unconnected to the previous movie) movie.
Admittedly, I have only the vaguest of recollections on how the second one ended and that seems to be more than the script writers did. Riddick looks a hell of a lot more like a sequel to Pitch Black than Chronicles of Riddick, and that’s perfectly fine since if this TV spot can be believed the movie actually looks like mindless (violent) fun.
I am sure they will wrap up all those dangling plot threads and unanswered questions from the last one, because clearly this movie is about story telling. Riddick also stars Karl Urban as definitely not Dr. Leonard McCoy and Katee Sachoff as sorta Starbuck and will be in theaters on the 6th of September.
Actually, while we are on the topic of Mr. Diesel’s Facebook fan page (Which I am going to assume you are a fan of ’cause I just did the math and 25% off all active Facebook users are fans of the page and that makes me question everything I used to hold dear about the Internet.) there was something else he had posted and then quickly deleted, something about being in Hall H at next weeks’s San Diego Comic-Con. Sadly, like I said, this has since been deleted so we will never know what he was vaguebooking about (until the official press release is released).
While we wait, here’s a picture of Vin eating pasta while wearing bouncy stilts because when you’re Vin Diesel you do those kind of things.
