X-Force

Super hero films are the big trend these days and it’s only natural that Fox would want to get in there and grab up a big piece of that sweet money-pie.  In addition to rebooting the Fantastic Four (no doubt to remove the bad taste in our mouths from the previous films), they’ve also got the second First Class film, X-Men: Days of Future Past ready to go for next summer’s line-up.  But what’s next on the Fox agenda?  Well, it looks like we may see an X-Force film coming our way.

While nothing has been confirmed regarding the start-up of the film, three months ago the folks at Fox registered a new domain name – X-ForceMovie.com.  So, even if they’re not planning on jumping into it immediately, it definitely looks to be a future project of some sort.

This makes sense, of course, since they’re already throwing two of the original X-Force members into X-Men: Days of Future Past – Sunspot and Warpath.  With these two getting some screen time, it’s only natural that Fox would want them to transfer over to another franchise and bring that audience recognition with them.

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of X-Force.  Of course, I never made it past the first 20 issues, so I ain’t the one to talk to about this, but it’s still good to see Fox expanding their own little piece of the Marvel Universe and bringing some more of our favorites to the big screen.

Opinions from Nerd Reader land?  X-Force good?  X-Force bad?  Any favorite team line-up you’d like to see?

Thanks to ComicBookMovie for the heads-up.
