As part of their very aggressive plan to maintain control in the super hero movie wars, Marvel has been setting dates for new movies far into the future. They’re letting us know when to mark our calendars, but they’re giving little information on what characters we can expect to see. Aside from Ant-Man, slotted for November 6th, 2015, nothing about Marvel’s Phase 3 is set in stone. Further, don’t expect any real news on the subject for some time, as Kevin Feige has just stated that we need to take a chill pill at least until 2013 is up.
In an interview with Collider, when asked about when we will see more announcements concerning Phase 3, Feige had this terse response:
“Well, it’s only 2013 now. But I think it would probably be, at the earliest, a year from now.”
Yup, go figure. It’s not as if we don’t already have enough Marvel flicks to look forward to, but still it would be nice to know who we’re going to see get their own movies. Doctor Strange is pretty much a given at this point, but I MUST KNOW MORE!
Sigh… So until 2014 roles around, expect more rumors and probably no official announcements.
Thanks to /film for the heads-up.
