When it was first revealed at SDCC 2013 that Zack Snyder‘s Man Of Steel sequel would be a Batman/Superman crossover called Batman vs. Superman, we also learned that this epic superhero team-up would draw heavily from Frank Miller‘s The Dark Knight Returns.

This comic series, later complied as a graphic novel, redefined our image of the caped crusader. And now The Independent is reporting that Miller and Snyder will be meeting to discuss the project.

The quote used to announce the new film:

I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come. In your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.

Is one of Miller’s most famous pieces of dialogue from The Dark Knight Returns. While it’s unknown how much input the comics legend will have on Zack Snyder’s sequel, far as I’m concerned, Miller’s involvement can only benefit this project, and help the filmmakers achieve the proper aesthetic.
