Chloe Grace Moretz is a fairly talented young woman who seems to have shirked the usual Disney clap trap often set upon an actress her age and instead has built an incredible portfolio of more complex work like Hick, Hugo and Let Me In. It’s one of the things that will probably keep her following in the steps of Jodie Foster as opposed to Lindsay Lohan. But of course she’s still young, so if there’s one project that could probably tempt her, it’s one with the initials S.W.
While talking to MTV about reprising the role of Hit Girl in Kick Ass 2, Moretz staked a claim for a role in the upcoming J.J. Abrams project, Star Wars: Episode VII.
“I mean, obviously there’s interest. It’s Star Wars. I’d kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don’t know,” she said. “JJ, I’ll give you my phone number. You can text me.”
You better do what she says, Abrams. She’s killed men for less (on screen).
There’s no word yet on what roles are available in the film, or if there’s one for the 16-year-old actress to play. The new Star Wars film is expected to begin production sometime early next year (or maybe even earlier?) for a summer 2015 release date.
