Last series, Sherlock ended with quite the bang. Or should it be a thud? Either way, it was a brilliant finale that immediately sent Sherlockians wild trying to figure out how he did it. How did Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) survive “The Reichenbach Fall”?
This very first teaser of the greatly anticipated Series 3 doesn’t reveal how he did it, but it does hint at Sherlock revealing his “not dead” status to Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs), Detective Lestrade (Rupert Graves), his brother Mycroft (Mark Gatiss), and of course, John (Martin Freeman).
Oooh… anyone else get chills once the music picked up and his shadow appeared in the doorway? And is this implying Sherlock simply shows up at restaurant to announce to John he’s alive?!? That’s going to cause quite a scene, surely. Maybe not as big a scene as Freeman’s mustache will undoubtedly cause on Tumblr, but a scene nonetheless.
Series 3 of Sherlock is expected to air this fall in the U.K. and *hopefully* early 2014 here in the U.S.
