Even though Gore Verbinski has left the building and the ratings for each film have been steadily declining, The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise rolls on (the billion dollar take of the fourth film might have something to do with that, of course). The latest installment, the fifth in the series, is slotted to begin shooting early next year for an ambitious summer 2015 release (good luck with that). But one thing the new flick has been missing is that extra bit of title, that thing to let us all know what it’s going to be about this time. Well, the wait is over, for the new movie is officially titled…
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Okay, so maybe that doesn’t say much about what to expect. Or does it? One of the best things about the franchise (in my opinion) was the presence of the undead pirates in the first flick. Does this mean we might see some more skeletal baddies making an appearance? Pirates vs. zombies anyone?
Check out Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales when it hits theaters on July 15th, 2015.
