New character posters for the upcoming movie, Thor: The Dark World, were featured as the cover last week’s Empire Magazine, but they have now been released online. The movie, which will open in theatres on November 8th in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D, will feature Thor as he is forced to team up with his incarcerated evil adopted brother to take on a force older than our universe, and if the trailers are any indication, it’s going to be a wonderful follow up to the first Thor film.
Obviously, the posters feature Thor and Loki, who, despite being the villain in The Avengers, will be the mighty hero’s only option to aid in his fight against Malekith, who bring darkness over the universe once again.
Personally, I didn’t think I would be this excited to see Thor in another solo movie, as the first one was very “meh,” and I’ve never really been a fan of the Asgardian myself, but, boy, am I psyched for this one. Tom Hiddleston clearly knocked it out of the park in the superhero team up movie, but I felt that Hemsworth’s character was also developed much more in The Avengers than it was in his own movie. Either way, I know I’m not alone in my anticipation of this movie.
