You know what’s funny? How all the Bayformer haters out there hoot and holler with their loathing for the Transformers franchise, but one word changes everything. That word is… Aspen! A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. OK, that line was from Dumb and Dumber. Really, though, that trigger of “aw yeah” would be the Dinobots. Those fan-favorite, simple minded, heroic robotic dinosaurs. Yes my friends, the amount of unnecessary violence, racism and sex in the first three Transformers films would have all been OK had they just featured Grimlock and the other Dinobots.
While winning over most fans, but further distancing others (like myself), T4 promise to give us the long demanded Dinobots. How do we know this? Well, not only was there a recent Toy preview indicating such, but a new teaser poster and official title have pretty much confirmed it.
It’s going to be called Transformers: Age of Extinction. You can see the first teaser poster below.
Extinction, a Decepticon logo in the sand all like fossils… you get it? If only these movies were extinct.
Directed by Michael Bay, Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz ,Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller. It’s now filming and set to open on June 27, 2014.
