It’s been a while since we’ve heard “boo” about the latest live-action incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The film being produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Liebesman has generated a lot (and I mean A LOT) of online hate, and some of it’s understandable given the rumors that have trickled out, but maybe these new spy pictures from the set will engender some good will.
If Latino Review is to be believed, then this is what the Turtles’ new sewer-bound lair looks like. Note the thrift store meets garbage dump decor, with a generous smattering of pizza boxes throughout the room. (I certainly hope that the filmmakers are getting Pizza Hut sponsorship money for their trouble.) This first angle shows the Turtles’ living area:
And this one shows the Bat Cave area:
So I bet you’re wondering about the authenticity of these pictures. Latino Review seems pretty convinced and they added the following message that has sent along with the pics:
“Kel here is the Ninja Turtles Lair, thought you would like it and let all the haters who don’t believe what you guys post try and debunk this one, which I can take a photo of the Falcon for you but that’s like Mission Impossible. Anyway Enjoy and Happy Birthday!”
I guess we’ll know shortly if they’re real or not, assuming, you know, if lawyers are involved. But lets us know what you think, Bastards? Does the film, at least, get the Turtles’ hole in the sewer right?
More news as it develops.
