There have been some rumored titles, along with rumored castings, ever since Star Wars VII was announced. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any official announcements about anything regarding the films since then, which has lead to rampant (to put it lightly) fan speculation. This may just be an example of that, but we’ve got two possible titles for Episode VII, and even news that Harrison Ford may not be returning as Han Solo as we’d originally thought.
About a month ago, we reported on a rumored possible title for the upcoming Star Wars movie, but now we’ve got two more titles that, well, sound Star Wars-y enough. Those two titles are Return of the Sith and Rise of the Jedi, which, really, are just a mishmash of Return of the Jedi, and Revenge of the Sith. Personally, I don’t think those will be the final titles, but these were apparently what George Lucas was throwing around when he was writing the movie. I think that the one we heard previously was better, albeit more ambiguous. These titles only really confirm what we already know, and that is that someone is going to come back and stir some shit up.
When said shit gets stirred up, we assumed our heroes from the original trilogy would be there to rise against it, but we may be missing one of the most popular heroes of all. Harrison Ford, who was originally saying that it was “almost true” that he’d be in the next movie, has recently begun dodging Star Wars questions, saying that he has “not quite made the choice” about whether or not he will return to play Solo. With Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher pretty much a sure thing, and rumors that the Millennium Falcon, and even Chewie, might be returning, it’s disappointing that we can’t confirm Ford.
It’s rumored that we could be getting the official title and casting very soon, so be sure to keep checking NerdBastards so that you can put an end to the mind-numbing speculation that comes with being a Star Wars fan.
