It looks like Damon Lindelof has taken his final internet ass-kicking on Twitter as the prolific writer/producer has seemingly deleted his Twitter account. I know cyber-bullying is a hot issue right now, but to think that even a Hollywood player like Lindelof can have his ego so shattered that he gives up his Twitter account… Well boy, I don’t know.
So when you can go looking for the Twitter page, @damonlindelof but all you’ll find is a big ol’ goose egg. In his final Twitter-based communique, Lindelof paid homage to the controversial finale of The Sopranos by typing, “After much thought and deliberation, I’ve decided t”
Congratulations haters, you made Damon Lindelof cry like a little girl. Maybe. Probably not. But still, I think you’re to blame for Lindelof stepping away from the Twitter app. It’s been a tough time lately for the man who in the last year has been connected to high-profile mixed-bag blockbusters Prometheus and Star Trek Into Darkness, but it seems the obsessive drubbing by fans still pissed about the finale Lost, in the wake of the phenomenal last episode of Breaking Bad, was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.
The shame of it is that Lindelof clearly had a self-depricating sense of humor, as evidenced by his re-Twitting some of those Breaking Bad slams, and he was also highly active and accessible on Twitter. So I guess internet haters get the last laugh on Lindelof, not that they’ll stop ragging on him in his absence.
