No more secrecy, no more rumors, the news Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be Quicksilver for The Avengers: Age of Ultron is now legit. It’s a casting development the internet has been fairly confidant of since before Comic Con, but now we’ve got the official word. We first learned Taylor-Johnson was potentially up for Quicksilver all the way back in June, then only earlier this month there was some unofficial confirmation from the dudes at Latino Review. Today, The Wrap announced Taylor-Johnson had finally signed his name on the dotted line and is now, officially, Quicksilver for Age of Ultron.
Surprising? Absolutely not, but it’s interesting how old this news feels since it’s only, actually, happening today. Such is the way of internet buzz and rumors, I guess. Sometimes they’re bogus, but more often than not these days the internet breaks a story long before anyone official confirms it.
Happy or disappointed in the news Taylor-Johnson is Marvel’s Quicksilver? (Not to be confused, of course, with FOX’s Quicksilver, Evan Peters.)
