Who’s Who in ‘Transformers 4’ Answered by Toy List

Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Stanley Tucci… These are NOT the names you typically associate with a Transformers movie, but they’re the names we know are involved so far. But because secrets don’t stay secret in Hollywood for long, we seemed to have gotten our first confirmation about which robots will be fighting it out for the Earth (and bragging rights) in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

The website Transformers World got it’s hands on a list of toys from the Hasbro website, which was then mined for spoilers by another site called Transformers Live. From the following JPEG, the folks at Transformers Live put together a list of confirmed characters, and a list of others that may be potential aliases for characters best left unspoiled.

So did you spot them all? For the lest observant here’s a more readable list:

  • Bumblebee
  • Crosshairs
  • Drift
  • Galvatron
  • Grimlock
  • Hound
  • Lockdown
  • Optimus Prime
  • Scorn
  • Slag
  • Slash
  • Slingshot
  • Snarl
  • Southpaw
  • Stinger
  • Strafe

There’s some very interested names on there aside the usual suspects Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. For  instance, note that four out of five Dinobots are mention: Grimlock, Slag, Slash, and Snarl. And also note the appearance of Galvatron, could Megatron be heading for a resurrection/upgrade?

As for the rest of the list, the following names are likely code for characters that Hasbro doesn’t want to ruin the surprise of their appearance in the film yet:

  • Adrian
  • Bruce
  • Duke
  • Ivan
  • Max
  • Paulie
  • Rally Car
  • Rocky
  • Thunderlips

At least I seriously hope these are code names because “Thunderlips” and “Rally Car” are weak, and Duke is a G.I. Joe.

We’ll have more news as it develops. Transformers: Age of Extinction is in theaters on June 27, 2014.
